Protein Chemistry Laboratory (PCL)

The Protein Chemistry Laboratory (PCL) was at established in 2009 Shiraz University, focuses on studying the structural and functional changes in eye lens crystallin proteins, which play a key role in maintaining lens clarity. These proteins are pathogenic targets, with mutations or chemical modifications, such as those occurring in diabetes, potentially leading to vision impairment.

Biophysical Chemistry Laboratory (BCL)

The Protein Biotechnology Research Lab (PBRL) was established in 2006 at the College of Science, University of Tehran, serving as a pioneering center in Protein and Peptide Science and Technology in Iran. PBRL is renowned worldwide for its research in enzyme immobilization, protein stabilization, biosensor applications, and catalytic transformations. The lab focuses on nano-biotechnology, protein aggregation, and insulin resistance-related diseases such as type 2 diabetes (T2D), Alzheimer's disease (AD), and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), keeping protein chemistry at the core of its ongoing work.
