UNESCO is an important cultural organization with global aims and broad spectrum of fundamental and valuable activities in different fields and supports the sustainable development to advancing cooperation in education, the advancement of science, culture, communication and information in the benefit of society. Diabetes is a main challenge in our modern world. The deficiency in molecular studies in diabetic fields and very limited studies in molecular Biophysics of Diabetes emphasis on the necessity of vast study in this field and obtaining more molecular information about its involved proteins and other biomolecules abnormalities and related phenomena. Regards to the ability of Biophysics, Biochemistry and related fields as a fundamental and cognitive knowledge fields relative to identifying potentials for diseases tracing, the valuable UNESCO chair on Interdisciplinary Research in Diabetes was established at Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Tehran in 2014 to follow the UNESCO's mission and to achieve the following objectives: changing the attitudes and movement to qualified lifestyle for moderate stress and tranquility for life.
